New Movies
Posted by admin on 29 March 2007 at 11:25 AM
I've just uploaded some new movies from the last few months riding in Australia. I've got a movie from a sesh last october at JM's farm. And two vids of the Damage Board Riders.

The first damage vid is footage from one of their practice sessions, and footage from the Springfest Demo in Ballarat. The second vid is just a quick edit of footage from the latest damage demo, held last weekend, at the Big Boys Toys expo again in Ballarat. I have done basicly no editing of this vid, just stuck all of the good bits together. It still tells a bit of a story though,

Lochtober @ JM's Farm, 1m 41s, 11mb

Damage Demo @ Springfest, 4m25s, 31mb

Damage Demo @ Big Boys Toys, 3m24s, 24mb

Ausatb.org File Hosting Online
Posted by admin on 22 July 2006 at 06:21 PM
Some of you may be wondering why the lack of updates on ATBrider.com. Well for those of you who have looked hard enough there has been some new photos in the last few months but little else.

But i have been busy lately, having taken over admin responsibilities over at ausatb.org. And i've had my hands full with a number of tasks on that site.

This coupled with the fact that its currently winter in australia, makes atb riding and atb news a bit slow.

But on the subject of Ausatb.org. I am pleased to announce a new hosted site. The ausatb.org file shack. This site is for ausatb.org members to upload their pics and movies, using a web based file uploader. The system is simple to use and each member(on request) will get their own directory on www.ausatb.atbrider.com, to store their pics and movies for viewing online.

This is a free service provied by ATBrider.com for all members of the Ausatb.org message board.

Ground Industries Website UPDATE!
Posted by admin on 17 May 2006 at 11:07 PM
GI have updated their web site to show-off their 2006 range. The main improvement to their range this year is an upgraded Bionic Truck, with a number of changes from the previous Bionic. The design still utilises the T3 torsion cube's, but the look of the truck is vastly improved.

Check it out and other new developments at groundindustries.com.

Whats a Howla?
Posted by admin on 13 May 2006 at 04:59 PM
And no it's not your little brother after he's crashed into a tree.

Howla is a new ATB design under development in the UK. Utilising a carbon fibre deck and a unique truck design. The howla could be just what you're looking for...

Check it out at www.howla.com

Their website isn't very discriptive, but you can also have a look at some pics at http://www.boarderz.ru/index.php?aid=905, but the text is in russian.

International Mountainboard Riders Association.
Posted by admin on 13 May 2006 at 04:48 PM
The IMRA has opened it's doors, or should I say website. Continuing in the tradition of ATBmag, the IMBA has been formed to promote the World Series and other international events.

Their website houses information on upcoming international events, the first version of their common rule book, and a forum for discussion on anything applicable to the IMRA. The idea being to create a centralised point for assisting in development of the sport internationally.

So go check out the website at www.mountainboarding.org and help make ATB as big as it should be.

More hosted sites.
Posted by admin on 22 April 2006 at 04:02 PM
In the last couple of weeks ATBrider.com has gained some new hosted sites. I would like to welcome the Fakie Krew and Nick Milordis onto ATBrider and hope they enjoy their stay. The Fakie Krew is a newly formed group of young riders based in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. And Nick is a rider from s/w Western Australia looking to promote ATB on the west coast.

I will update the side bar soon with links to their respective sites. Enjoy.

Scuz Issue #10
Posted by admin on 5 April 2006 at 03:00 PM
The UK based Mountain Boarding 'zine has just completed their 10th issue, and is now in circulation. This is the first issue of Scuz to be printed in colour.

The 'zine is available throughout the UK. But since ATBMag has stopped printing a hard version there has been talk of getting Scuz distributed into other countries, either posted over or printed locally. So with a bit of luck we might see a few copies of Scuz Issue #10 in Australia sometime in the near future.

For more information on Scuz issue #10 go to www.scuz.info.

More Media!

After a strange but exciting weekends riding at Mt. Bawbaw Alpine Resort. With a cold snap bringing snow to the australian alps two months before the start of winter. There is now more new movies and photos in the archive.

The two new movies feature the music of Rising Dissent, a Melboune based metal band. I would like to thank Rising Dissent for allowing me to use their music in the ATBrider.com movies.

Photos and Videos
Posted by admin on 25 March 2006 at 10:24 PM
I have updated the Photos and Movies sections. There is some photos from the '06 Mt. Buller road trip and from todays freeride in Bacchus Marsh.

Also, there is a short movie of Jarrad Cronins brutal crash at Parkfest '06. The angle isn't the best, kicker side of the downramp, and i know that others on the day got better shots of the crash. But its the best i've got.

Enjoy.

Huge response from U.S and U.K
Posted by admin on 23 March 2006 at 02:12 PM
Since announcing ATBrider.com on the U.S and U.K ATB fourms the response has been massive. So much so that the server nearly maxed out its bandwidth. So for the last 12 hours or so, the HI quality movies have been removed.

I have since upgraded ATBrider.com's bandwidth to double it's previous allocation. This should insure there will be no downtime during peak load periods.

The high quality movies are now again available to download. Including the full two and a half minute Parkfest 06 movie.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank www.incompetech.com and www.dilvie.com. Without these free-to-use musical resources, the completion of the ATBrider.com movies would not have been possible.
